About Belle Tout Lighthouse
Built on the cliff top but frequently shrouded in fog. Replaced by Beachy Head lighthouse below. The cliff edge eroded dangerously close, so the entire building was moved 17 m inland in 1999 using hydraulic jacks. Now a bed and breakfast.
