About Beachy Head Lighthouse
Built at the base of the 162 m white chalk cliffs of Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain. The red and white stripes make it stand out against the cliff face. Replaced the Belle Tout lighthouse on the clifftop that was often shrouded in fog.
